Haha. I must be giddy from all the TGIF-ing around here. Not only is it Friday today, but it’s also the last Friday I’ll be in my old apartment as I’m moving on Monday. I’ve taken the day off on Monday to take advantage of cheaper rates with the movers, plus less of a hassle moving into the new apartment building during the week. So I’m in the throes of packing, while dealing with some moderate wrist pain from all the copying + pasting I’ve been doing at work on the Wiki Reorg. At least that is progressing nicely. I’ve been packing for three weeks now, off and on, and I don’t notice that much of a difference. Until I look into my spare bedroom, and realize that I have been working my butt off. Lots of boxes greet me each time I walk past the open door.
In the new apartment I’ve got a great little nook that I am going to use as my reading/writing/knitting corner. I’m hoping to be able to use it as a launchpad for my freelance writing career! I think having a dedicated area where I’m working on one of my hobbies is important, as I missed having that at my current apartment. Having a dedicated space will definitely help out with all the things I want to do this year. Can’t wait!
Okay, back to the packing. I’ll write next from the new pad! Cheers everyone.
